Latergram 📸 | Last Friday

Last Friday, USA Local 831 stood alongside New York City’s Mayor and the Acting Commissioner of the Department of Sanitation New York City for a press conference addressing the upcoming storm.

That storm hit Sunday into Monday, dumping over a foot of snow across the city. While the press conference has passed, the work has not — our members are still out there piling and hauling, clearing streets and keeping New York City moving.

This is what we do. Prepare ahead. Respond in force. Finish the job.
Proud to serve this city.
Proud of our members. 💪❄️🚛

Proud moment for our city.

On behalf of USA Local 831, we are honored to welcome @nycmayor, who came out to personally show gratitude to the true heroes of every storm — the men and women of our union, the driving force behind the @nycsanitation .

We are proud to serve this city. Our snow fighters keep New York moving after major storms and clean day in and day out. Long hours, brutal conditions, no excuses — just dedication, grit, and pride in keeping NYC operating.

Respect. Appreciation. Gratitude.
NYC runs because of our members. 💪❄️🚛

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

His unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and dignity for all continues to inspire us.
Dr. King reminded us that progress is built through unity, service, and standing together for what is right.

As working men and women, we carry forward those values every day.

May we honor his legacy not only in remembrance, but through our actions.

Dennis J. Schock
President, U.S.A. Local 831
